Bodgaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site is the most important of the four main Buddhist sites besides Lumbini, Kushinagar and Sarnath. It used to be called Bodhimanda, and sometimes Bodhimandala which in Pali, means the spot or seat under the Bodhi tree where the Buddha attained enlightenment.
