Once, Mau Wei, Amber and Gendil and I travelled by car from Bitangor to Sarikei in Sarawak. We took the old route and had to cross a river to reach Sarikei,the town by the Rajang River, near where the river empties into the South China Sea. The town is popular for pineapples and pepper.
