I like visiting Ah Chuan's house. There's a beautiful lake at the back of his house and a manicured garden too. My friends and I paid him a visit just just recently on the third day of Chinese New Year. Ah Chuan had come back from the UK for a holiday. Just like always, he was a good host, baking a cake for the guests and serving spring rolls which he bought from the supermarket. The main course however was steamed glutinous rice with mushroom and Chinese sausages and for dessert, it was red beans; brought over and prepared by the guests. Looking forward to getting together next year when he'd be back for his yearly pilgrimage!
