You take a bite of it, this traditional Malay cake called Kuih tiram and when it starts to crumble in your mouth, you find satisfaction, as if you have just subdued a demon. Kuih tiram in English is oyster cake. It is also called Kuih lidah or Tongue cake, said to have been created by Bruneian Malay in Papar, Sabah, Malaysia.
