One often hears of sandwiches; and this is some sort of sandwich if you don't mind. Some youngsters, my other niece's friends, came over just to cook one day, bringing colourful grubs; carrots, corns, cucumbers, green peas, red and green peppers, lady fingers as well as mushroom; all finely chopped or sliced; and sausages and even a special concoction of a meat dish to be eaten with mi ku, the pink steamed buns which are usually made for traditional Chinese celebrations. That was rather innovative of those young people!
