P for Phattalung: Dinner and Lunch

What would you do if you've been waiting for a boatman to take you out to sea, to an island where there was a little shrine; and then the boatman didn't turn up? Cancel the trip, of course; as if you have any choice! At Hadthong resort, we did just that and instead of moping, we decided to head back to our hotel in Hat Yai. After all, it was near evening and a friend had suggested a sumptuous dinner in her favourite hotel. So, it was a sumptuous dinner for all of us; and Tom Yam, as usual was in the menu as well as pig trotter. We would be heading for home the next day and just before we caught our train, we had a simple lunch at Robinson's; I had guay jap and others had rice with pig trotter; favourites in Hat Yai. We'd be back to Phattalung yet!
