A Peranakan Nyonya Dish

I like the sour taste of the pickled vegetable dish and it's not sauerkraut or kimchi; the latter two are fermented cabbage while the one I'm referring to is the sweet sour Penang Acar, a Peranakan Nyonya dish which at home, we call acat, pronounced ah chart. Besides cabbage, the sweet sour dish consists of many other types of vegetables; cucumber, carrot, long beans, pineapples and chilli which could make it a bit spicy to some; and then there are aromatic ground roasted peanuts and sometimes, toasted sesame seeds, too!  I spotted a big tray of the dish in the kitchen yesterday but don't bet on it lasting two weeks when the people stay home to avoid the corona virus. A large portion of it had already been transferred to Tupperwares to be given to relatives.
