I remember our lunch and dinner cooked up by the lady at the hotel we stayed in during our first day in Dongchuan, China. There were sweet corn soup and green vegetables and eggs to go with our rice in the afternoon; and at night, the dishes were red and heavily spiced with chillies; and there was also a fish dish. Lunch was plain and sweet; but dinner was spicy and oily. Lunch and dinner were as different as day and night!
