Overripe bananas would just be perfect for this. Mash them up with flour, eggs, sugar; make a ball of them and have them deep fried and you'd have the popular Malaysian snack, cekodok or kuih kodok! Cekodok is always shaped like a ball and when someone invites you to help yourself to some cekodok, it usually means cekodok pisang; pisang being the Malay word for banana; and of course, the main ingredient for cekodok is usually banana. I haven't heard of people using any other fruit until a friend offered me some cekodok durian. That of course had the king of fruit as the main ingredient.
