Someone I know was looking for kaya to be taken home to England. The man who was born here had settled in London and was back for a holiday. Her daughter had requested her to bring home some kaya and he had thus asked where he could buy some. In the market of course; but they are not as good as homemade ones. Kaya is a delicious Malaysian jam made with coconut milk, eggs and sugar and it goes well with toast and a cup of coffee. Some kopitiam or coffee shops are specialized in offering these for breakfast; but really, I rarely frequent these shops. There is always a good supply of kaya at home; all homemade and without preservatives and probably can't last the journey to London.
