Pulut Inti, wrapped with banana leaf is such a treat! Pulut inti is steamed glutinous rice served with sweetened grated coconut and seems more fragant and appealing when wrapped; especially when the golden brown grated coconut is allowed to peep out and tease through an opening. This sweet thing is said to be Malay in origin and the glutinous rice in its nyonya version is coloured blue using bunga telang.
