All from the Family

One day, some relatives came over; each  bringing along goodies. In the evening then, I would have rempeyek to munch on. Rempeyek is a very popular traditional crunchy crispy crackers in Southeast Asia. In its simplest form, it probably is just peanuts deep-fried in a mass of flour till they turn golden brown and fragrant; but there are instances where anchovies, spices and coconut milk are added. In the evening, I would have rempeyek and drain it down with a bowl of sweet dessert packed with an assortment of delightful ingredients including mata kucing, white fungus and goji berries. All that from the family.
