Sunday Feast : Homemade Croissant

There was a flurry of activities in the kitchen this morning and in the afternoon, my niece had come out with a tray of croissants. It was great to sink the teeth into the flaky pastry and be reminded of past continental breakfast I had had in hotels both at home and abroad during those good days when the word covid-19 was non-existence. The croissant, said to have originated from Austria and a staple in many European countries; has indeed found its way into the heart of the world.
