Immediately after lunch, I think I'll tuck in a piece of santan kuih koci. After all, the South East Asian dessert is often eaten anytime; during breakfast, tea and as you like it. A piece wouldn't take a lot of space anyway; and it seems suddenly thrilling to slowly remove the banana leaves and dig the soft santan-glazed steamed pandan- flavoured glutinous rice flour into the coconut filling that has been infused with sweet palm sugar. Santan by the way is a Malay word; it means coconut milk.
