Remember once my niece make jam out of the mulberries that were harvested from the garden. It wasn't much as there was just one mulberry tree to contend with. Most of the time, the mulberries were left to drop and go to waste; otherwise the kids and I would pluck them and eat them there and there; my grandnephew and I both like the sourish taste of the red berries; but they were not bad when they turned black and sweet. Was surprised though when my niece baked a mulberry cake. She must have bought the berries somewhere; online maybe, but I really didn't know that there is such thing as a mulberry cake. Checking the Net, I found there are many more mulberry cake recipe to go around.
