Food for the Sick

Would you believe it?; there are lots of food suitable for the sick according to an article in the Net, garlic, coconut water, hot tea, honey, ginger, spicy food, bananas, oatmeal, yogurt, salmon, avocados. Some of the recommended food are indeed suitable but not so sure of spicy food and especially those food which were not easily available locally like salmon and avocados. Remember when sick, mom used to feed us porridges or the most, koey teow thng, the Chinese noodle broth consisting of silky smooth flat rice noodles in a clear, savoury broth. Had that for breakfast the other day and no; one doesn't have to be sick to have it. In fact, when sick; the taste buds are often dulled and the broth appears less savoury.
