kuih ketayap I had this morning. Not that the traditional fare of grated coconut and palm sugar wrapped inside a thin piece of green rice flour crepe is hard to come by; it's easy to get them in the markets in Southeast Asia and I read, even in Sri Lanka; where they called them surul appam. Just that, the ones served for breakfast were homemade and infused with genuine aromatic pandan leave juice; not artificial colouring which usually gives an unnatural less appearing green. Not to mention of health hazards artificial colourings could cause!
