In the shopping mall, something brown and circular like a pancake caught my fancy. It was not a pizza but the Japanese squid okinommiyaki with egg. A friend often drools over the savoury ball-shaped Takoyaki but that has octopus in it. I had the okinommiyaki packed. Think the brown flakes that formed the toppings must be the squid, not something I like really. Think it tasted smoky, bland too maybe. Give me sushi anytime!
