Rojak in the Kitchen

A dish of Javanese origin which I tend to take for granted is rojak, spelled rujak in Indonesian. There are many versions of the dish and a popular one is rojak buah, a salad dish consisting of various sliced fruits and vegetables topped with a spicy palm sugar and prawn paste dressing. The dish is sweet due to the palm sugar and the prawn paste probably renders it tangy. Save on the ground chilli if you can't take the spiceness and top it with more groumd peanuts instead to make it more fragrant and lend the dish an extra oomph. The bowl of rojak buah in the kitchen probably is sent over by a relative. Sssh! It's not as nice as the one prepared at home.

What fruits or vegetables do you think are used in this rojak buah?
