Bukit Larut or formerly Maxwell Hill, is the first hill resort in Malaysia. Founded by the British who colonized the then Malaya, the British had gone up the hill to escape the tropical heat or so I heard. Today, there are quaint bungalows left behind by the British which are available for rent on a daily basis.
