The Dutch Fort or Kota Belanda is located at Teluk Gedung on the South West of Pangkor Island .The Dutch East India Company (V.O.C. - Vereenigde Oostindische Companie) built the Dutch Fort to control and monopolize the tin trade in Malaya and to prevent Pangkor from being occupied by the English during those days when European forces came in the dozens to South East Asia to colonise the countries.
