Joy is a handful!

A handful is just a small amount but it is something else if a child becomes a handful. That refers to when the child is difficult to deal with. Active and noisy children could be a handful just as much as a quiet child especially one that is not taught manners. Children like these probably would be given an earful and by this, that most certainly, refers to an outpouring of anger, abuse, or complaint.
