Malacca is a historical city in malaysia. Afonso de Albuquerque, a Portuguese fidalgo, or nobleman, had in 1511 conquered it with a force of some 1200 men and seventeen or eighteen ships.The city then was inhabited by the Hindu, Chinese, Burmese and Muslims. Afonso reportedly massacred or sold the Muslim inhabitants into slavery.
