Ho Chi Minh, I heard, is one of the top ten cities in the world that is famous for its food. I don't know how true that is but definitely there is a wide variety of food here, not necessarily just pho , the soft rice noodles in a soup broth which is synonymous with Vietnam. Pham Ngu Lao, the backpacker street of Ho Chih Minh city pulsates with life the whole day. In the morning, there are the morning markets and at night, there are the night markets. Forget the rooftop or street bars or the posh restaurants - there are plenty of cheap eats in the streets. At night, when we walked the streets, we were overwhelmed with the spread, a heaven indeed for foodies. No wonder, in Vietnam, there is such thing as a food tour!
