Wonton noodles is a Cantonese noodle dish? That's a surprise. I remember in Taiping during the late sixties and seventies, a plate used to cost 40 sen but now, it's around 4 ringgit, still cheap compared to the one sold in Kuala Lumpur. Having eaten that all my life, suddenly I realized that the dish has never been prepared at home; usually we'd have it outside, in eating places and restaurants or else have it packed as a takeaway; at least not before the MCO. Besides porridge, buns and the usual, one day after being confined at home for over a month, I thought I was seeing things when homemade wonton noodles was being served. What a yummy surprise!
