Sunday Feast: Jam it up!

Just had this, bread and homemade kaya, a coconut jam made out of a base of coconut milk, eggs and sugar. The jam originated from Melaka, it is said; and it is said too that it is similar to a Portuguese traditional cuisine, Doce De Ovos or sweet egg cream and it's the descendants of the Portuguese who invaded Melaka in the 15th century who invented it.
