Rice in Leaves

Have some rice wrapped in a leaf! And it's not the Chinese rice dumplings I'm talking about; even though we have a lot of that presently as it is the month of the Dragon boat festival. Chinese rice dumplings have glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves. Ketupat, which I 've always thought to have a Malaysian origin is actually Indonesian; and the Javanese call them  kupat and the Balinese, tipat; and the glutinous rice is contained in pouches woven out of palm leaves. My mother used to make triangular ketupat and added black eyed beans in them. Yummy!
