One early morning, I woke up, thinking I'd fast for a day. There were freshly made kuih kosui on the table. Kuih kosui, otherwise known as kuih lompang, is a traditional steamed rice cake that is eaten with grated coconut. It is made with tapioca and rice flour and can be flavoured with either pandan or palm sugar. The ones on the table were brown with palm sugar and they looked so sweet and tempting. Forget fasting!
