Pâtisserie, describe French pastries and the pastry shop they are sold in. Probably the local pâtisserie do not serve authentic French fare. When meeting up with someone there during the ninth day of Chinese New Year, we had managed to tuck in something delightful which sounded like it had a local touch : Cempedak cheese cake. Cempedak of course is the local cylindrical or spherical fruit which looks like a jackfruit. It is not very French, is it?
