Chinese New Year Breakfast

Day Four of Chinese New Year;  breakfast was mee rebus bought from the market. Breakfast has returned to normal since day two. On the first day of Chinese New Year, breakfast would always be the thin and delicate mi sua 面線, the wheat-based vermicelli. The noodle is hand-made by stretching out dough to over 30 meters. Being the longest noodle in China, it is served during birthdays to signify long life. I think it is for the same reason we have it on the first day of every Chinese New Year morn.

You would love this mi sua!

Happy Chinese New Year!
