My nephew knocked on my bedroom door early in the morning. It was not neccessary; I was already awake and was ready to go on our morning date. The night before, he had invited the family for a breakfast of koay teow thng. There were many places offering koay teow thng in town but he would be bringing us to a noodle house where the signature dish is what else but koay teow thng. There is a chain of such noodle house in the north, in Penang especially; and I remember having patronised the one in Nibong Tebal a long time ago. Have been to the one in town several times but this was the first time, we had lobak as a side dish.
