I remember someone telling me that the Indians are very good in preparing mutton curries. The mutton in their curries is said to be tender and this is attributed to the green papaya they use when preparing the dish. That seems rather logical since the fruit contains the enzyme, papain which serves to tenderize meat. Green papaya could be used to make tea too, if you haven't heard.
