When Mau Wei came a-visiting on a Saturday morning, she had asked me the moment I stepped into her car : Should we buy him some flowers? She was referring to a friend who had broken his ribs. Don't waste money, I said and she suggested we bought some food instead. So, we stopped over at a popular eating shop selling spring rolls and soya bean milk. When we finally visited our friend, we found there were other guests. An aunt had brought along some fruits and a friend from Penang had specially brewed some rejuvenating soup and brought it all the way to Taiping, a soup which Mau Wei termed 愛心湯. Like to translate that as Love Soup. Now, which is the 愛心湯?
