Satay or sate, a dish consisting of diced or sliced meat in skewers made from the midrib of the coconut leaf, is popular in South East Asia. The meat is grilled or barbequed over a wood or charcoal fire and then served with various spicy seasonings. Preparing the dish, as you can see, could be a smoky affair.

When talking about road, presently I am reminded of 'The Road not taken' and 'The Long and Winding Road'. The fomer is a poem by Robert Frost and the latter is a Beatle song, a ballad written by Paul McCartney.
